D. Dawn Maxwell, Host and Founder of Recovery Talk Live, is a Registered Addiction Specialist and Certified Recovery Coach. In her practice she focuses on helping people move forward from Life Hurts and achieve a New Normal in a life free of codependent enabling and aids recovering addicts in moving out of pain into purpose. She is also a passionate speaker, writer and member of Christian Women in Media Association.

After losing 95 pounds and breaking free from years of generational bondage such as abuse, addiction and co-dependency, she is devoted to helping others experience the same freedom.  Dawn also founded and manages Pacific Coast Recovery Resources where she coaches folks on their journey of releasing the excess weight on their bodies and breaking free of codependent behaviors that entrap them.

A Chicken Soup for the Soul author, Dawn holds a degree in Journalism from Cal State Long Beach and is currently working on a new book entitled “Sane in a World that Isn’t; “Stepping Out of Codependency.” She shares her personal story of turning tragedies into triumphs using her entertaining speaking style with groups from all sectors of life including Campus Crusade for Christ, Stonecroft Women’s Connection, twelve-step groups and more.

Dawn is an advocate of breaking dysfunctional behaviors in order to equip the next generation to have a better path to follow.

Terry La Dow  holds an MS in Human Behavior and is certified as a drug and alcohol counselor by CAADAC. He is a qualified Anger Management Specialist by the Anger Management Institute and is Board Certified by the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Before starting his practice, Terry worked with Orange County, CA Probation Department and California Department of Corrections for 14 years.

His practice focuses on helping individuals, couples and families recover from addiction, anger and family dysfunction. His experience includes interventions with families who need help breaking free from generational traps stemming from substance, physical and emotional abuse. Terry utilizes several biblically based methods of treatment, mostly dealing with behavior modification.
